Their crawfish are fattttttt. Like you can suck and get meat from the claws fat. We got the signature sauce, which is Cajun garlic butter. The spicy is SPICY and burns so good. We thought maybe we’ll try medium to enjoy the flavor more, but medium was a little too sweet for us— so we ordered a side of spicy sauce to pour over the rest of our crawfish. We asked for the side of spicy sauce 3 times and I guess it was never put into the system until the third time, so they just didn’t end up charging us for it. The restaurant is a bit small and had 2 waiters at the time (lunch on a Sunday). I’m not sure if it was the owner, but he was helping out too delivering food to the tables. I don’t think they advertise it, but ask for the 5lb for 40 deal. I saw someone else on Google Reviews mention it, so I asked about it too. Def a good deal! We’ve been here twice in a span of a week.

It was my first time visiting Texas from Seattle, and I wanted to try crawfish while I was here! We don’t get fresh crawfish in Seattle, so this was probably the best I’ve ever had. There was so much flavor from the crawfish heads, and the seasoning they used was absolutely delicious. I’d definitely recommend stopping by if you’re visiting from out of state. The service was friendly and efficient—they even come around to clear your crawfish shells. The restaurant also had a great vibe overall.

Absolutely get the slushies (not so sweet and very refreshing). We got the mango and pineapple. Seriously get a slushy. We got the chicken skins, 2 lbs of snowcrab and the 5lbs of crawfish for 40 deal. The house special flavor had a good heat to it. Seating had fair spacing and the place was well ventilated. The servers were attentive and always emptied our trash buckets. Great vibes and personalities. If I didn’t live so far, I could try out their 9.99 lunch specials. Will definitely come back!!

South by Saigon is a gem! The house mix crawfish (medium) delivered the perfect heat and kick. The chicken fried rice was a nostalgic treat, and the crab fingers were flawless. The wings were juicy and packed with flavor. Owner Skip even came out to check on guests, adding a personal touch to an already stellar experience. Haven’t had a bad meal here yet—consistently amazing!

Surprisingly tasty for an unassuming strip mall restaurant. They have lunch specials and a full menu of options. The blue crab was great and not over fried (I wish there was a steamed option). The tartar sauce seemed fresh made and had a nice dill and pepper flavor to it. The chicken on the lo mein was cooked perfect with that crisp you want from the wok. Overall flavor was quite good and exactly what you expect. Staff was nice and helpful. I was sad I didn’t try the crawfish or crab! Prices were good but the seafood seemed like a better deal. Will 100% come back.

I’ve gone 3 times in a span of 2 weeks. Staff is amazing, attentive, kind super friendly. Great flavors the fried rice, crab fingers, grilled shrimp and the highlight of every meal there... the crawfish with south side sauce! 5 lbs for 40. Love love love this place and the staff

South by Saigon delivers bold, Southern-Vietnamese flavors with serious style, and my recent visit proved it's more than just a clever name -- it's a culinary vibe. Let's get straight to the highlight: the crawfish. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and spicy with just the right kick -- easily some of the best I've had this season. The flavor was layered, not just heat for the sake of heat, and the portion was generous. The catfish nuggets and fries were another solid hit. The nuggets were crispy on the outside, tender inside, and not overly greasy. Paired with the seasoned fries, it was the kind of combo that keeps you snacking past the point of full. The lemon pepper wings were standout -- crispy, zesty, and well-balanced in seasoning. Each bite had that perfect crunch followed by a tangy burst. Definitely a repeat order. I tried the mango slushee, which came out icy cold and super refreshing, but leaned a little too sweet for my taste. If you like your drinks on the sugary side, you'll love it, but it could use a bit of tartness or acidity to round it out. The service was friendly, the space had a chill, welcoming feel, and the menu strikes a great balance between Vietnamese street food energy and Southern comfort.

Owner is an awesome dude. Wait staff are professional and friendly and willing to explain the menu items. Lunch specials are a good portion and filling. We got the crawfish and it was fresh, meaty and juicy. Did not disappoint. Out of the 5-6 dishes we got everything was quality and tasty. Chicken Lo Mein and Southside Pasta were also delicious. Highly recommend. Will plan to go again when in the area.
